About us

DumDum® is a creative object designed to be built, posed, and explored. It exists somewhere between a figure, a tool, and a character — encouraging hands-on interaction rather than passive display.

At the heart of DumDum is a story. DumDum is a newly sentient robot that wakes up alone, aware of its own existence but unaware of its purpose. It searches for its creator to understand why it was made and what it is meant to become. This story is deliberately open-ended, allowing meaning to emerge through use.

DumDum is produced using 3D printing technology and is available either fully assembled or as a DIY kit. The process of building is part of the experience, and visible traces of making — such as layer lines and small variations — are embraced rather than hidden.

Used for drawing reference, stop-motion animation, creative play, or quiet experimentation, DumDum supports learning through making and interaction.
